Superlatives
| İngilizce "Superlatives" dediğimiz yapı, bir grup içindeki en üstün olanı ifade etmek için kullanılır. Cümle şu şekilde kurulmalıdır: |

Sıfatların superlative hallerini bir önceki konumuzda listelemiştik. Sıfatların önüne "the" artikelini getirmeyi unutmamalıyız. |

There are several books. This is the biggest of all. Tolga was the most successful student in his class. |
| "En üstün" yerine "en üstünlerden" manasını vermek için de cümleye "one of the" öbeğini ekleriz. |

Maradona was one of the most successful footballers in history. Sakarya is one of the longest rivers in Türkiye. |
| Bu kullanımda, Superlative'den sonra çoğul isim kullanmayı unutmayalım. |
|
Superlative'ler ile de negatif cümle veya soru cümlesi kurulabilir. |

You aren't the most clever student in the world. Wasn't the Empire State building the tallest building in the world once? |
| Manayı negatif yapmak için ise "least..." kullanırız. "the most" en çok anlamına gelirken, "the least" en az anlamındadır. |

This was the least exciting day in my life. Tomorrow's test will be the least difficult of all. Brown is my least favourite colour. |
